Guitar Pickups Too Bright A guitar pickup is actually similar to a powerful mike coil. For decades, dynamic microphones have now been wired with the style coil attached to the primary of the microphone's transformer, and maybe not called to ground (‘floating'). The microphone's event is usually attached to the cable shield, that will be attached to the microphone amplifier's floor (see Rane's site for more discussion).
By and large, vibrant microphones are extremely quiet units as a result of the mixture of transformer isolation and balanced, flying transmission lines all through, as well as protected, humbucking coils.
Therefore why not instruments? Instruments are notoriously affected by noise. Humbucking pickups are merely an incomplete (though important!) solution. The most obvious solution would be to move your guitar collection to a balanced output, as being a microphone.
